Approximately Ages 5-16
The Fuzzy Ballers program introduces children primarily in elementary and middle school to the joy of tennis in a fun, supportive, and structured environment. It is designed to encourage physical activity, foster a love for the sport, and build foundational skills in a progressive, age-appropriate way. The program features three distinct levels, each tailored to a child's developmental stage and ability.
Fuzzy Ballers
Level -1
Ball Explorers
This introductory level introduces kids to tennis in a fun and engaging way, helping them develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and movement skills. They begin to understand how their body connects to each stroke while becoming familiar with tennis equipment and the court. Activities are designed for continuous movement and clear instruction, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience that encourages curiosity and exploration.
Focus: Hand-eye coordination; movement; balance; basic body mechanics; basic stroke paths; racquet/court familiarization.
Goal: Build confidence, provide the basic technical foundation, and spark excitement for tennis.
Swing Stars
Level -2
At this stage, kids develop a stronger connection between their body and the ball, refining fundamental strokes and footwork in a supportive environment. They enhance ball tracking, footwork, and balance, which lays the foundation for drills focused on ball control and rallying. Emphasizing stroke development from the ground up helps juniors master more advanced techniques like serving and hitting on the run. Additionally, kids begin learning basic tennis strategy and the fundamentals of competition.
Focus: Improved stroke mechanics; improved body-to-ball connection; court awareness; simple rallies; basic strategy and competition.
Goal: Foster skill development and a basic understanding of tennis strategy.
Level -3
Matchmakers
At this level, juniors refine their footwork and balance while learning how to use different stances effectively in various situations. This foundation enhances their directional and depth control across all strokes. Greater emphasis is placed on consistency, composure, and strategic point building in both singles and doubles, as well as handling pressure during matches. Players will also develop serve variety, consistency, and power. At this stage, we introduce deeper planning and goal setting, helping players understand the full scope of becoming a competitive tennis player.
Focus: Defined rallying skills; point construction; fundamental to intermediate strategy; serve enhancement.
Goal: Instill a lifelong love for tennis while equipping players with the guidance and skills needed to progress toward their individual tennis aspirations.
Approximately Ages 10-17

Juniors in this group will be held to a high standard of work ethic and competition, making sure that those in this group are trying to build each other up. Regular feedback and collaboration between the guardian, player, and coach ensure alignment on performance goals and continuous improvement.
